24" is big enough for many different breeds. Toy dogs like this size to be able to stretch out and dogs from 12-25 pounds can fit quite comfortably. (Hint: when your dog is sleeping, measure how much room he takes. If he curls up, he may weigh 30 pounds but only need 20 inches of space.)
